Mushroom Pin Cushion

I needed a min cushion and just little circles and rectangles are boring. Everyone has apples or strawberries. I decided to make a mushroom.
I started with a bottle cap and covered with felt. I held it in place with hot glue. I cut a 1.5 inch strip and wrapped it around.

I cut a 6 inch circle out of pink felt and loosely stitched the outside. Grabbing both ends of the string I gathered into a poof. Then the poof was filled with pillow stuffing.

Then it is just a matter of gluing the two pieces together. I also added a few white spots to finish the look.
